*to avoid ambiguity, you can say la casa di lui, la casa di lei
*to speak about possessions of one person ( whom we address Lei) Suo /Sua /Sue / Suoi is written with capital S
example: Scusi, questa è la Sua macchina? Excuse me, is this your car?
Notes:
- possessive adjectives agree in gender and number with the noun they stand before
- they are usually used with the definite (or indefinite) article.
- Il mio amico – my friend
- Un mio amico – a friend of mine
- With loro the article is always used
- loro never changes its form
- possessive case: la macchina di Pietro - Peter´s car
